• When are your worship services?

Activities began at 9:00am with our Sunday School classes. Sunday School is followed by a fellowship time we call Coffee Connection. This is followed by our main service that begins at 10:15 am in the sanctuary and is open to everyone. Deep biblical knowledge is not a requirement to come! Even if you aren’t a Christian, but are curious about Jesus, you are more than welcome to join us.

  • What is service like?

While our service varies from week to week, most follow this outline…

    • 15-20 minutes of praise and worship through song
    • 35-45 minute message based on a passage of the Bible that includes scripturally sound practical application
    • announcements
    • conclude with a song to close out our celebration.
  • Are Bible studies available?

Yes! We hold Sunday school every Sunday mornings at 9:00, and every Wednesday evening at 6:30. Don't forget to join us for dinner on Wednesdays at 5:30pm as well. Yes, it's free!

We have men, women, young adult, co-ed, youth, and children's Bible study. There's something here for everyone!

  • What should we wear to the main service?

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. (In case you are wondering, our leaders usually wear jeans.) And when you come, we promise not to embarrass you by making you stand and introduce yourself to everyone, or make you wear a name tag that identifies you as a guest.

  • What is available for children and youth?

We hold youth group Ministry (grades 6-12) for Sunday school and Wednesday night Bible study every week.

Our Pre-School and Elementary children meet Sundays and Wednesdays.

Nursery is provided for children ages Birth - 2 years of age during all of our services.

  • Where can I find church announcements and events?

We post many of our announcements and events on Facebook, and for those that don't use Facebook, we also have a church app that posts announcements. For access to our Realm Connect service, please send an email to jbcnewberry@gmail.com requesting access.

  • Do you require masks or vaccination?

Our only request for Church attendance is that you come as you are! Masks and/or  vaccines are not required.

  • What about membership?

Members of JBC must be a believer in Jesus Christ, and have been scripturally Baptized.

Membership is not required to attend church or any of our events (some of our non-members have been coming for years!). It is only a means to vote on important matters of the church as they arise.

To become a member, simply accept the invitation to come forward at the end of one of our Sunday services. For more information, email us at jbcnewberry@gmail.com
