Jonesville Baptist Church (JBC) was established in 1850 as an independent Southern Baptist Church, and has been serving the community ever since.  We hold several Bible Classes twice a week, all of which are open to the public. Join us on Sunday mornings and Wednesday night to discover the full meaning of the Lord's words, and how they can enrich your life. 


Our Staff

Corey Cheramie

Lead Pastor

Pastor Corey came to JBC in 1995, and since then, he and his wife Penny have faithfully served Alachua County. He and Penny have been married for thirty-seven years and are blessed with three adult children and five grandchildren. Originally from the bayous of Louisiana, he has Pastored two other churches in Louisiana and Georgia. He has a deep passion for the people of North Central Florida to find peace in Jesus Christ through salvation. He was educated at Criswell College in  Dallas, Texas in Biblical Studies.

Growing up on a commercial shrimp boat with his father has given him a deep appreciation for hard work and a love of the outdoors. He spends time both hunting and fishing to appreciate God's creation and finding time to rest in the Lord. He has a deep passion for serving Newberry High School ministering to students, athletes, administrators, coaches, and teachers through his athletic field painting and chaplaincy ministry. Pastor Corey is known for never meeting a stranger, and can't wait to grow his church family!

Cameron Diamond

Youth & Worship Pastor

Pastor Cameron grew up in Pensacola, FL. at Ensley Church of the Nazarene where he committed his life to serving Jesus in faithful ministry. He attended the Baptist College of Florida (now the Baptist University of Florida) from 2012-2015 and attained a BA in Music with a focus in guitar. It was also there that he met his wife Katrina while she was also earning a degree in music, with a focus on vocal performance. They have been married 9 years and have three children. He has been serving as Youth Pastor for 5 years. He obtained a MA in Christian Studies from BUF and is now pursuing a DMn of  Theology & Apologetics from Liberty University. His mission is to equip our kids with the Gospel and inoculate them against opposing views so that they can stand firm on the truth in our community. He enjoys connecting with the youth through personal relationships and shared interests such as Star Wars and music. He is an intellectual with a deep passion for learning anything and everything.

Jennifer Duke

Administrative Assistant

Jen Duke is  our administrative assistant. She’s the backbone of the church and is responsible for the well-oiled machine the church is! She loves the Lord and sharing the truth of God through discipleship. 

Jen grew up in Pontiac, MI but has been a Florida transplant since 1992. She has been married to her best friend DJ since 2001, and together they have three daughters. She worked in a pediatric office as a medical assistant for 19 years before the Lord called her into the ministry. She has been a member of JBC since 2002 and has been on staff since 2017. She has a passion for capturing God's creation through photography, and encouraging others through scriptures. Jen is one of the kindest, hardest working person you’ll ever meet! 

Josie Crawford

Children's Director

Josie has been married for 10 years to her amazing husband, Michael. They have two children, 10 and 7 years old. She has been working with children in preschools and as an athletic coach for more than 15 years. She couldn’t be happier to be the Children’s Director here at JBC!
