Live by the Bible

July 31, 2017

Good Morning Church Family,

The weekend has come and gone. I must be honest, I was not going to attend Church yesterday. The weather, Pastor Corey on a Mission Trip to Ecuador, and fatigue are among the reasons I was thinking on passing on attending Church. Oh am I glad I went! Brother Larry gave a great Bible Study; Marcey sung so beautifully and Pastor David had an amazing message. The pews may not have been as full as they normally are, but God was in the building at Jonesville Baptist Church!

As we begin our week, we will be dealing with many challenges and people that may anger or upset you. Do not succumb to the same level. Continue to love and forgive. Yes, it is so much easiest to say than to do. Believe you me; I KNOW. I struggle with this and that is why I constantly write it in my devotionals. We, as Christians, have to live as God wants us to live. Below in my bible verses, it is outlined how we should practice hospitality. We need to live by these verses.

Romans 12:13-21

13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Please continue to pray for our team in Ecuador. Pray for Mrs. LaRay McMartin as she continues to deal with her condition at the hospital. Jason Dowling had a prayer request for a lady he knows suffering from a back problem that needs the Lord's attention, please pray for her. Pray for the many orphans in India and throughout the world that are in subpar conditions. Pray for those in your life needing God's hand. Praise Him for all the answered prayers and wonderful things he has provided as well.

Have a Blessed Day!

Enjoy this uplifting song...
