Pray for our Pastor

July 26, 2017

Good Morning Church!

My devotionals began with the Legacy Men Group our Church has. Some of my posts in the Legacy Men Group mean a lot to me as well. Below is one I wrote on Pastor Corey and I think it is an important reminder to us all just how much he does for the Church, the Community, his Family and God.

Pastor Corey is a very busy man and a lot of us overlook how much he actually does every week to prepare for Sunday Morning Bible Study; his Sermon, Legacy Men, Wednesday Evening Bible Study and balance his personal his family life with all of the unseen affairs he handles as a Man of God in his position. I know that I am busy with work and juggling my personal life, but being a Pastor has challenges and stresses that most of us will never deal with. I just wanted to take some time this morning and pray for him. I am certain I can speak for many when I say, "We love and appreciate all you do!"

Jeremiah 9:23-24 ESV

Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”

1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 ESV

We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

Let's continue to pray for our Pastor-he deals and handles so much. Pray for his traveling mercies. Pray for the Missions Team that is making the last minute preparations for their trip to Ecuador. Pray for LaRay and Bruce-she has been going through so much. Two young men's family from the area Terri is from and we lived for three years need our prayers. Their lives will never be the same as one murdered the other for reasons still not clearly known. The families are dealing with a loss that no one wants to have to experience. They need our prayers.

Continue to pray for the Carter and Sharp families as they deal with the loss of their family. There is so much to pray for that I can't list it all. Pray for what is weighing heavy on your heart and Praise Him for everything he continues to provide and do for you.

Have a Blessed Day!
