Good Morning Everyone!
Yesterday, I spoke about an event that happened to me on Tuesday and how angry it made me. How it was important to forgive, move on, and not allow it to control me. Last night a friend stopped by and he and I leaned on one another about issues we were dealing with. (Any of you are always welcome to my home to lean on me) I am not going to go into detail on any of these things, but it was nice to just be able to talk to one another about our challenges. See we all handle things differently; some handle poor traffic with little frustration, while another may just want to run everyone off the road. Maybe you have someone in the office that drives you nuts; you just let it go while I may address and get myself into some trouble. Your sports team looses and you throw fit while another just makes a simple comment, "Maybe next year." We often find ourselves in similar scenarios; the important thing is that instead of handling it improperly...leave it in God's hands. Trust me, as a man, this is so hard for me to do. Letting go is hard for me. Why wouldn't I just want to pass my anxiety or problem on to God; who can and will handle it? Wouldn't It be easier for all of us? Prayer works. Again, my prayer is unorthodox from that of kneeling down and putting my hands together. It is a conversation in the car or truck with him; maybe I'm mowing the lawn. Could be just whispering to myself in the direction of my Lord and Savior.
1 Peter 5:7
7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
This verse ends with...He cares for you! Doesn't that just sound amazing?! The Lord of Lords; the God of Gods cares for me. Little old me! Folks he is there for us. Let whatever you have go and give it to him. We are not perfect; we will make mistakes. We are sinners; He knows we will sin. All we can do is work hard to be closer to Him. Here's an amazing song that I think hits home. But first; let's continue to pray for one another. Pray for Pastor Corey and our other Church Leaders. Pray for our Country and her Leaders; some of these leaders definitely need Jesus! Continue to prayer for members of our Church, community and nation that are suffering and need His direction. Let's continue to pray for LaRay McMartin and of course Shane and his family. Prayer works! Praise Him! He has provided you with so much and if you continue to grow closer to Him...so much more will come! Love you all!
